Skripsi, Program Studi Teknik Informatika, Jurusan Teknologi Informasi, Politeknik Negeri Malang, 2021. Tanaman padi merupakan salah satu tanaman terpenting bagi umat manusia dimana tanaman ini adalah salah satunya sumber makanan pokok bagi masyarakat di kawasan Asia. Namun pada kenyataannya proses penanaman atau pemeliharaan tanaman padi sendiri memiliki banyak kendala yang dapat mempengaruhi hasil panen yaitu faktor yang paling utama adalah hama dan jenis penyakit yang ada pada tanaman padi. Tujuan dari pembuatan sistem pakar ini adalah untuk memudahkan petani dan membantu para ahli atau ahli pertanian untuk mendiagnosa masalah di bidang pertanian, tanaman padi sendiri sangat rentan terhadap berbagai macam penyakit sehingga jika tidak ditangani dengan cepat dan tepat akan berdampak hasil panen, sehingga diharapkan dengan dibuatnya sistem pakar ini dapat digunakan sebagai asisten cerdas di bidang teknologi untuk membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan pada tanaman padi. Melalui metode forward chaining dirasa penggunaan sistem pakar ini sangat tepat karena proses pemilihan atau kecocokan antar kriteria sangat mempengaruhi hasil diagnosa penyakit tanaman padi ini, output yang dihasilkan tidak hanya mendiagnosa penyakit atau hama tetapi akan memberikan kesimpulan dan solusi. Rice plant is one of the most important crops for mankind where this plant is one of the staple food sources for the people of the Asian region. But in reality the process of planting or maintaining rice plants itself has many obstacles that can affect crop yields, namely the most important factor is pests and types of diseases that exist in rice plants. The purpose of making this expert system is to make it easier for farmers and help agricultural experts or experts to diagnose problems in agriculture, rice plants themselves are very susceptible to various kinds of diseases so that if they are not handled quickly and appropriately it will affect crop yields, so hopefully with the creation of this expert system, it can be used as an intelligent assistant in the field of technology to help solve problems in rice plants. Through the forward chaining method, it is felt that the use of this expert system is very appropriate because the selection process or the match between the criteria greatly influences the results of the diagnosis of this rice plant disease, the output produced is not only to diagnose diseases or pests but will provide conclusions and solutions to deal with these problems. .
